"Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”
Esther 4:16 NIV
When thinking about a ladies apparel theme to partner with my husbands E525, there was a lot of ideas that came about, but the one verse that came to mind and made an instantaneous spark was Esther chapter 4 verse 16.
Some might say this verse may seem a bit unusual and drastic...I agree. To understand some background to this verse Esther ( a common Jewish girl) was chosen to be Queen. During her time as Queen there was a plot against her people the Jews. It was brought to Esther's attention so she may speak to the king and possibly save her people. In order to do this she first had to approach the king. In those times a Queen can be put to death for even entering the Kings court without being summoned. This is why Esther started to fast and pray, then she would approach the king and if she perishes she perishes. Her God given confidence and strength helped save her and her people.
When reading this verse I cannot help but to appreciate the example Esther sets not only as a woman but as a Queen. E416 is more than just a catchy passage acronym to wear on a t-shirt. It is a way of life.
One of my many passions in life is for women to know their worth, and God given strength. An E416 woman is bold, courageous and wise. She seeks God's face daily, knowing that his strength alone can get her through any challenge. She takes on life with confidence. She replaces fears with faith. She knows that she is royalty and a daughter of the most high king. She wears her crown well. She's a Queen.
As the time approaches for the ladies apparel line to launch. I look forward to sending a powerful message through our clothing. I look forward to questions, explanations, and opportunities to share about what I'm passionate about. I look forward to seeing women encouraging one another to be that strong, confident Queen they are meant to be.
